Welcome to one of the oldest restaurants here in Nerja, ”La Capilla del Mar”. The story is that the restaurant got it´s name a long time ago when fishermen wanted to have a drink and told their wives that they were going to the chapel. Instead they sneaked away to the small bar and restaurant, La Capilla. Open 19,00 – 23,30 Closed Sundays

Today we are five persons with different knowhow and background who have come together and want to give you a nice gastronomic experience in this little “chapel”.
	José and Eva, our restaurateurs, a Spanish/Swedish couple, met here in Nerja more than 30 years ago. They have now, after 28 years in Sweden, decided to come back to Nerja and take up their old trade.

	Rudi, our chef, with experience from Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, is as close to an original Nerjian as you could come to be after his 20 years here
Jochum and Ing-Marie finally, being supporters in this project, have their experience from international work that has lead them to a lot of restaurant visits all around the world and are now living in one of the most restaurant dense cities in the world, Luxembourg.
	In the bar we serve ”small Plates” as for example: Toast Marino with fillet of beef with béarnaise sauce * “La tabla de Carmen”, a plate with different tapas * Spanish ham and Spanish cheese * Toast with Swedish prawns, egg, salad and mayonnaise
In the restaurant we can seat over 50 persons and we can arrange for a long table seating 26 We would be happy to arrange your birthday party or other celebration. Air condition

We have an Andaluz patio, terrace, where you can have a romantic dinner or just enjoy eating outside under the stars.
